What is Fine Art Inkjet Printing?

"Giclée print" is a very high-quality digital printing technique used to produce extremely precise art prints. To do this, plotters (professional digital printers) containing up to 12 colors are used, projecting millions of micro-droplets of ink onto the paper through fine nozzles. This allows for extreme precision and a very wide range of colors. The papers and inks used for this type of print require high standards to guarantee the quality and preservation of the artworks.

What is the difference from digital printing? Digital printing uses a fine powder, or 'toner'. This is fixed to the paper by a heating process, which is completely different from the inkjet process.
