I'm Pauline and I created FERE on November 1, 2016, right after my apartment burned down 🔥 (true story). This very unfortunate event, however, allowed me to take stock of my life and ask myself what I wanted to do with it.
The answer was quickly found: make a living from drawing and have fun.
So, alongside my full-time job, I started uploading my first illustrations online. FERE was born.
Through FERE, I wanted to offer funny and minimalist illustrations featuring Paris, because I had lived there for 32 years and I love this city dearly. Above all, I wanted to represent it as we know it, anything but the Eiffel Tower or the Arc de Triomphe, please! I revisited more than 50 Parisian neighborhoods: "the cigarette sellers in Barbès, tourists with their selfie sticks on the Champs, the pigeons of Jaurès." And then... I continued... I illustrated cities I knew in France or elsewhere because I had traveled quite a bit, then I drew on themes that made me smile. Cult films, gastronomy, Sunday athletes, our pets...
At first, I offered my illustrations as posters, then I launched a line of embroidered organic cotton T-shirts, then keychains, mugs... Depending on my desires and encounters, I offer new illustrated everyday objects. The world of FERE has grown over the years and I intend to continue!

Since the brand's beginnings, I have produced on demand or in small quantities because at FERE we don't waste raw materials, neither cotton nor paper. When you place an order, I have the posters printed or the t-shirts embroidered, I don't keep stock, which is why delivery times are a little longer. No Prime delivery here, sorry!
BUT… WHAT DO WE SAY? FÉRÉ? FEUREU? FAIRE? WHY FERE?
FERE is simply a contraction of my parents' middle names, FERnande and REné, so you should pronounce it FERE - like "fair" or "farewell" - but I won't hold it against you if you say fe-RAY!Any questions?
